To further ensure rapid growth, our client is fully committed to talent development and technological innovation. For this reason, we are looking for a Tractor Engineering Director (m/f/d) for the newly emerging Innovation Center in Baden-Württemberg with, in the future, approx. 50 engineers in total, from the areas of tractors, combine harvester, implements, hydraulics, electronic control, intelligent solutions and production. This position is independent in Europe with a dotted line to the EU center R&D director and a solid line to China tractor engineering. As a top tractor design expert, you will design and develop high-end tractor products with over 200 horsepower.
main tasks

Build and lead the tractor engineering team in Germany to develop the tractor product

Jointly with the Chinese team to carry out over 200 horsepower tractor product platform planning.

Responsible for product concept, overall program guidance, review, and confirmation.

Responsible for detailed design review and guidance.

With reference to European tractor product standards, help the Chinese team establish design standards and test standards for tractors with over 200 horsepower, and improve calculation methods.

Assist China team in product quality problem analysis and improvement.

Provide technical support to other stages of the product development process.
profile

Master degree or above in mechanical background.

At least 8 years working experience in tractor R&D area with at least 4 years project management experience.

Tractor expert of vehicle level and configuration and familiar with product development program.

Excellent cross-culture communication and team management skills
