Our client is part of a global machinery and equipment manufacturing group and has more than 10,000 employees worldwide, generating sales of approximately US$ 2.4 billion, and specializes in the development and manufacture of agricultural machinery. To further ensure rapid growth, our client is fully committed to talent development and technological innovation. For this reason, we are looking for an expert in Systems Engineering for the tractors department of the newly emerging European Innovation Center in Baden-Württemberg (Germany). Up to approx. 50 engineers from the areas of combines, tractors, implements, hydraulics, electronic control, intelligent solutions and production will creatively work together for a better tomorrow.

main tasks

  • Define tractor system architectures for complete module and submodules ensuring smooth integration between mechanical, electrical and software levels.

  • Support requirements definition and management at platform level.

  • Assure compliance of tractor systems with product requirements, specifications and international standards.

  • Ensure full traceability of technical requirements across subsystems (engine, driveline, hydraulics/pneumatics, electronics, software).

  • Create transparent structures and workflows using system engineering methods and tools.

  • Coordinate and align activities between engine, driveline, hydraulics/pneumatics, electric/electronics and software engineering teams.

  • Drive implementation of innovative technologies such as smart farming solutions, electrification, hybridization and automation into robust, reliable tractor platforms.

  • Lead system-level design reviews and integration workshops to identify risks and ensure robust solutions.

  • Provide technical documentation and system architecture reports to management and global engineering teams.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and methodologies within the European Innovation Center.

profile

  • Bachelor degree or above in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in systems engineering, preferably in tractor industry, agricultural / working machinery.

  • Proven expertise in defining and managing complex system architectures across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.

  • Strong knowledge of tractor systems and subsystems (engine, driveline, hydraulics/pneumatics, electronics, software).

  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, or similar) and systems engineering methodologies (MBSE, SysML).

  • Familiarity with PLM systems and CAD integration.

  • Understanding of international standards relevant to agricultural machinery.
