WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

Our client is a global machinery and equipment manufacturer with more than 10,000 employees and annual revenue of approx. USD 2.4 billion . To accelerate innovation in agricultural technology, a new Innovation Center is being established in Baden-Württemberg — bringing together around 50 engineers across tractors, harvesters, implements, hydraulics, electronic control, intelligent solutions and production.

As Technical Director Harvester, you will shape the next generation of harvester technology and lead strategic product development for global markets.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on harvester product development.

  • Integrate product requirements and drive new product development as well as continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct product research, identify innovation opportunities and define long-term product strategies (MGPP).

  • Translate market and technical requirements into clear product definitions.

  • Lead benchmarking and competitive product analysis.

  • Build the global harvester product platform architecture and oversee general arrangement for major development programs.

  • Drive core technology development and manage major technology projects.

  • Ensure delivery within QCD targets (quality, cost, delivery).

  • Manage annual budgeting and implement continuous cost‑reduction measures.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in harvester R&D, including at least 4 years in project management.

  • Deep expertise in harvester vehicle‑level design, configuration and product development processes.

  • Strong cross‑cultural communication skills and proven leadership experience.

  • Fluent in English.

Compensation & transparency

Salary is competitive and aligned with senior leadership roles in agricultural

machinery R&D in Germany. The final range depends on experience, technical specialization and leadership scope.
